Read the front, recall it, flip the card, then tell Hachimo whether you got it. Hachimo decides when the card comes back. Turn on notifications and it tells you when reviews are due.

Frequently asked questions

Does Hachimo teach or correct my English itself?
No. Conversation, corrections and drills happen in ChatGPT or Claude. Hachimo keeps the mistakes and new words they turn up, brings them back before you forget, and plans what to study next.
Does it work with both ChatGPT and Claude?
Yes, you can connect either one. The AI connection is a Hachimo Pro feature. The steps are on how to connect your AI.
Is Hachimo free?
Hachimo Pro is required, and a free trial is available. The trial length and price are shown on the purchase screen. Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Can I learn languages other than English?
Yes. Hachimo supports English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Portuguese, and you can study any of them except your native language. If you speak Japanese, the default is English.
Is my whole AI conversation saved?
No. Only what the connected AI sends when it runs a Hachimo tool is saved. Hachimo does not continuously collect your full chat history. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete your learning data in the app’s settings. To delete your account, follow the in-app instructions or ask through support.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
