Hachimo

How to connect Hachimo to ChatGPT or Claude

Once connected, the mistakes and new words from your ChatGPT or Claude lessons are kept in Hachimo. The AI connection is a Hachimo Pro feature.

Before you start

MCP link

This is the link you register on the AI side. You can also copy it from the connection screen in the Hachimo app.

Connect ChatGPT

Hachimo is in review for ChatGPT’s app directory. Until it is listed, add it in developer mode, which is available on paid plans.
  1. In the Hachimo app’s connection screen, copy the MCP link.
  2. In ChatGPT settings, turn on Developer mode, create an app, and paste the MCP link.
  3. An authorization screen opens. Sign in with the same account you use in Hachimo and choose Allow.
  4. Go back to ChatGPT and check that Hachimo’s tools are listed.

Connect Claude

Use a Claude custom connector. You need a plan that supports custom connectors.
  1. In Claude’s settings, open Connectors and add a custom connector.
  2. Paste the MCP link and add it.
  3. On the authorization screen, sign in with the same Hachimo account and allow access.
  4. Start a new chat and check that Hachimo’s tools are available.

After you connect

Ask your AI to “make today’s plan” and it builds today’s study from your history. When a lesson ends, the mistakes and new words are saved to Hachimo, and they become review cards in the app.

What you allow

Authorization uses a secure web consent screen. It asks for identity (openid), profile (profile), account matching (email) and a refresh so the connection keeps working (offline_access). It reads and writes your own private learning data, only within what you ask the AI to do.

If it does not connect

Lesson results do not show up in the app

Check that the account connected on the AI side is the same one you are signed in with in the app.

Hachimo’s tools are missing after authorization

Check that Hachimo Pro is active. The AI connection needs an active Hachimo Pro.

I want to disconnect

Disconnect Hachimo in ChatGPT’s or Claude’s settings. Saved data is not deleted automatically; you can delete it in the app’s settings.

If it still does not work, contact support.
